“I am optimistic about the future”
“I am proud to preside over such an active and dynamic confederation and I am optimistic about the future, without forgetting the past and the values of our sport. The UCI has many projects and ambitions. We will strive to develop our European championships and cups, without letting to be faithful to our national federations, who are doing a remarkable job in this area. There is a lot of work to do in the future, but I am confident that we will achieve all the objectives we have set for ourselves,” said Enrico Della Casa, who added his intention to run again for his current position: “In a year, the mandate entrusted to us will end and the board of directors will have to be renewed. Today I announce that I will run again as a candidate for the presidency of our confederation, because I want continue my long-term commitment to cycling and international cycling governance.
