Jiu jitsu is counting down the days until the World Games 2025 begins. The event that brings together sports that are not part of the Olympic plan will take place in Chengdou, China, from August 7 to 17 next year, bringing to life the 12th version of the event.
One of the sports that is already excited for the event is jiu jitsu, a Japanese martial art that hopes to be one of the protagonists in the event that will feature 35 sports.
ALSO PARA-JIU JITSU
For the 2025 edition of the World Games, not only was jiu jitsu included as a traditional sport, but its Paralympic version will also be present. Last year it was confirmed that Para-Jiu jitsu, wushu sanda, kickiboxing point fighting and the dragon boat race (Chinese boat races) would enter the program for the next version of the Games.
And so much is the enthusiasm that the International Jiu Jitsu Federation published an image of Chengdu’s preparations 500 days before the inauguration. “Preparations are progressing at all levels in Chengdu,” says the publication made on their social networks.
