A key seminar for the future of sports in Kazakhstan

The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kazakhstan successfully concluded the Sports Management Course, a three-day seminar held at the Faculty of Medicine of Nazarbayev University in Astana. This program, developed under the framework of Olympic Solidarity, aimed to strengthen the professional capabilities of participants and foster a space for the exchange of experiences and knowledge.

The closing ceremony, which recently took place, highlighted the importance of such initiatives for the growth of sports in Kazakhstan. More than 60 participants, including coaches, team leaders, international affairs managers, and public relations specialists, attended the course designed to address key topics in modern sports management.

STRENGTHENING SPORTS MANAGEMENT

The seminar, organized by the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, covered a wide range of key topics in sports management. Experts in project management, sports law, sports medicine, and anti-doping measures led specialized sessions, while UNESCO Kazakhstan contributed by integrating sustainable development as one of the central themes. Key content included operations during the Olympic Games, community management strategies, and optimizing visual content on social media—fundamental aspects for modernizing the sector.

Attendees, including students from the National University of Kazakhstan, valued the quality and usefulness of the course. Alimzhan Akayev, Secretary General of the NOC, emphasized the importance of strengthening specialists’ competencies for the development of sports in the country. Participants such as Nikita Mozgovoy from the Kazakhstan Football Federation highlighted the personal and professional benefits gained. This seminar not only reinforced knowledge but also boosted the NOC of Kazakhstan’s commitment to the professionalization of sports and the exchange of experiences to build a stronger sports industry.
