AIDA Competitions June 2025

Competitive freediving continues expanding its frontiers with an intense schedule of competitions organized by the International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA) in different parts of the world. June 2025 will be a key month for both pool and depth events, with competitions scheduled in Asia, Europe, and America, bringing together elite athletes and new talents in this growing discipline.

Between June 6 and 24, more than a dozen AIDA competitions will take place, divided between pool and depth categories. From the Double K IDA Challenge in Philippines to the Adriatic Trophy in Croatia, the events offer a broad range of static, dynamic, and free immersion tests, in natural settings and certified pools, demonstrating the global reach of competitive freediving.

A diverse and global calendar

Pool competitions will have a notable concentration on June 15, with three simultaneous events: the nOxyGAIN Challenge in Budapest (Hungary), the Raum ENC Pool Competition in Hwaseong-Si (South Korea), and the Spring Liberal Competition in Hong Kong. Added to these are the “Send-Off” competition in Philippines (June 21-22) and the static test in Kish, Iran (June 21-24), forming a key block for upcoming international qualifications.

Regarding depth competitions, the calendar began with three tournaments between June 6 and 8 in Philippines, South Korea, and United States. In the following days stand out the National Freediving Championship of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai (June 14-15), the AIDA Minicomp in Eilat, Israel (June 16-18), and the Adriatic Trophy in Krk, Croatia (June 17-21). The schedule closes with the 9th Series of the Korea Cup (June 21-22), consolidating the Asian country as one of the most active venues on the AIDA circuit.
