The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that marks the beginning of a new stage of cooperation in the digital sphere. The agreement will allow the WBSC to join ANOC’s Digital Content Hub, a platform created to connect National Olympic Committees (NOCs) with International Federations and expand access to engaging and high-quality content.
This strategic step will not only boost the global visibility of baseball, softball, and Baseball5, but also strengthen the capacity of NOCs to build stronger connections with their local audiences. Sharing athlete stories, competition highlights, and development initiatives aligns with the goal of driving digital transformation within the Olympic Movement.
A digital alliance with global reach
ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg celebrated the collaboration as a key opportunity to strengthen ties with International Federations and support NOCs with content that inspires and connects with their communities. Meanwhile, WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari emphasized that the partnership will help bring their sports to new audiences, especially in emerging markets, expanding the reach and impact of their content.
The agreement reflects the shared vision of both organizations to foster innovation, digital development, and unity within the Olympic ecosystem. The inclusion of the WBSC in the Digital Content Hub will significantly enrich the platform, providing new tools for NOCs to strengthen their digital media presence and promote Olympic values through sport.
