The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has announced the appointment of Mark Arbib as its new chief executive officer. Arbib will take over from Matt Carroll, who led major reforms and guided Australia’s Olympic teams between 2016 and 2024, leaving a significant impact on the country’s Olympic Movement.
With 30 years of experience in sports administration, governance and business, Mark Arbib has been a member of the AOC Executive Committee since 2016 and chairs the Brisbane 2032 Legacy and Impact Committee. His background includes prominent roles as Chairman of Athletics Australia, Federal Minister for Sport, and a member of the boards of WADA, Sydney FC and South Sydney Rabbitohs.
