Beijing to host the 2029 World Water Sports Championship

The International Aquatics Federation (World Aquatics) announced that Beijing, China, will host the 2029 World Aquatics Championships, in addition to several international events during 2024. The announcement was made in the midst of the ongoing World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Beijing will also host the 2029 World Masters Championships, ratifying China as an interesting place for water sports. In 2024 alone, the Asian power will host the first date of the Artistic Swimming World Cup in the capital, the Diving World Cup Super Final in Xi’an and the Swimming World Cup to be held in Shanghai.

As for the Water Sports World Cup, the next edition will be in Kallang, Singapore, in 2025, followed by Budapest, Hungary, in 2027.
