At the Conmebol Council meeting held this Tuesday, September 17 in Paraguay, the South American Football Confederation designated Colombia as the host of the next South American Women’s Under-17 Championship, to be held between May 1 and 25, 2025. This tournament is key in the development of women’s football in South America, as it serves as a qualifier for the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2025.
The 10 member associations of Conmebol will participate in this championship, seeking to secure a place in the world competition. In addition to being a showcase for youth talent, the tournament encourages the promotion of women’s football in the region.
