The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has completed its competition season with the World Cup. These four events organized by the FIE marked the end of the 2023-2024 season, and athletes are now focused solely on the Olympic Games.

Fujairah, Madrid, Plovdiv, and Saint-Maur-des-Fossès were the venues for all the finals, both male and female.

In Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, the best female épée fencers gathered. China won the individual gold medal, South Korea won the team gold, and nearly 200 fencers participated in the final.

The men’s sabre final, held in Madrid, was won by Frenchman Sebastien Patrice, and the United States won the team gold, with more than 200 fencers taking part.

Plovdiv hosted the women’s sabre event, where French fencer Sara Blazer won gold, and Ukraine won in the team competition, with over 150 fencers participating in Bulgaria.

In France, Hungarian world champion Gergely Siklósi won gold in the individual competition, and Japan was the best team with over 300 fencers at the Pierre Brossolette Sports Center.

These competitions serve as preparation for the event of the year, the Olympic Games, where the best fencers will gather in Paris in pursuit of prestigious medals.
