Frontball, a dynamic and accessible form of Basque pelota, has been identified as an excellent educational and sporting tool. Therefore, FIPV’s mission will focus on training physical education teachers and students in this subject, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach and promote this sport. This initiative marks the first time that many Uruguayan educators will have direct contact with frontball, which represents a unique opportunity for the sport and pedagogical development of the country.
During the two intense training days, participants will receive theoretical and practical training on the rules, techniques and benefits of frontball. This sport, which is played on a court with a ball and a front wall, not only improves physical condition, but also promotes coordination, agility and reaction capacity. In addition, its simplicity and accessibility make it ideal for inclusion in the school curriculum.
The inclusion of frontball in the school curriculum is one of the main objectives of this mission. To achieve this, the FUP, in collaboration with the FIPV, is developing a comprehensive training plan that will be replicated in all regions of Uruguay. This plan seeks to ensure that physical education teachers throughout the country are equipped with the necessary tools to teach frontball in an effective and engaging way. “From FIPV, we celebrate and support this initiative of the FUP” comment from the FIPV.esibility make it ideal for inclusion in the school curriculum.
