Basque pelota continues to expand even more and during this week India hosts the first frontball camp with the participation of more than 80 coaches from the International Basque Pelota Federation. The sessions are based on training and the knowledge of the FIPV in India will be reflected.
During the first day, in addition to the presentation ceremony of all the athletes and coaches, the presentation of the First Basque Pelota Training Camp 2024 took place at the Gindun Rajbaugh Sports Stadium in Srinagar.
The second day was more theoretical-practical since the coaches gave basic work lessons in accordance with the provisions of the FIPV standards. And the more than 120 participants were able to play and try new tools in addition to the hand, such as a paddle.
During the third day, the FIPV delegation worked with young people from the Birla Open Mind International School with more than 1,500 students. At this meeting, the students could be seen playing Basque pelota and, in addition, the center’s management committed to creating Frontball courts within the center’s facilities.
