The expansion of table tennis as a global spectacle is advancing in step with a strategy focused on visibility and access. In a context where exposure defines the growth of sports, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and World Table Tennis (WTT) have taken a decisive step by securing new broadcast agreements that significantly expand access to their flagship competitions in key markets across Europe and North America.

Beyond numbers and territories, these agreements reflect a fan-centered vision: bringing elite table tennis to more screens, in more languages, and through established platforms. Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United States, and France thus become strategic settings within a shared narrative aimed at bringing the sport closer to diverse communities and strengthening its media presence ahead of major events on the international calendar.

DACH and the United States: continuity, expansion, and new audiences

In the DACH region, the renewal of the agreement with Dyn consolidates a relationship built on stability and depth of content. Germany will retain exclusive rights, while Austria and Switzerland will continue to enjoy uninterrupted coverage that includes the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals for two more years, ensuring fans sustained access to the most relevant fixtures on the calendar.

The reach expands further with the inclusion of key events from the WTT Series, such as the four WTT Grand Smashes, the WTT Championships, and the WTT Finals, creating a comprehensive offering that accompanies fans throughout the season. In parallel, the launch in the United States through FanDuel TV starting in 2026 opens a new phase of expansion, with flagship competitions such as London 2026, Macao 2026, and Chengdu 2026, alongside full coverage of the WTT Series designed to attract both traditional followers and new audiences.

France: identity, language, and open access

In France, the agreement signed with L’Équipe for the 2026–2028 period introduces cultural and linguistic connection with the audience as a central element. Exclusive French-language coverage will allow ITTF and WTT events to integrate naturally into the country’s sporting ecosystem, reaching not only mainland France but also the French Overseas Territories, Andorra, Monaco, and Mauritius.

The combination of free-to-air broadcasts via La Chaîne L’Équipe and digital platforms strengthens open access to table tennis, removing barriers to entry and expanding its impact across different segments of the population. With the broadcast of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals and a wide selection of WTT Series events, the agreement focuses on proximity, consistency, and building a lasting relationship between the sport and its French-speaking audience.
