The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has signed an agreement in Lausanne with manufacturers Eleiko and ZKC for the period 2025-2028. This contract makes both companies official suppliers of bars for the most prestigious events organized by the IWF, including the Olympic Games, the Youth Olympic Games, and their respective qualifying competitions.

The agreement also covers other high-level events such as the World Championships, the IWF Grand Prix, and other international competitions organized by the federation.

Leaders in world weightlifting

Eleiko, from Sweden, and ZKC, from China, are two of the most respected and recognized barbell manufacturers in the world of weightlifting. Both companies have been associated with the IWF for years, participating in recent events such as the 2024 World Championships, in the case of Eleiko, and the 2024 Paris Olympics, in the case of ZKC.

The agreement signed in Lausanne grants these companies exclusive rights as official suppliers, the highest level of collaboration that can be achieved with the IWF. This status, known as Tier 1, guarantees global visibility without territorial limitations.

IWF President Mohammed Jalood highlighted the importance of this collaboration: “We are very pleased to establish these partnerships with Eleiko and ZKC. These two companies have a long and successful track record of supporting our athletes and our sport.”
