Representatives from 57 National Olympic Committees participated in the Chefs de Mission Seminar for the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, where they received positive updates on progress and visited the main venues for the event, which will take place from November 7 to 21, marking the return of the event to Saudi Arabia 20 years after the inaugural edition in 2005.
The meeting, held from June 1 to 2, allowed representatives from the ISSA and the Local Organizing Committee to present detailed updates on preparations and operational plans for the Islamic Solidarity Games. During the presentations, delegates had the opportunity to ask specific questions on various topics.
Topics covered by the LOC included services available to NOCs before and during the Games, the latest updates on the sports program, qualification routes, and facilities at the venues and Athletes’ Village. The accreditation and sports registration processes were also explained, along with presentations on medical services, the anti-doping program, general Games services, transportation plans, and communication and marketing activities.
Visits to venues and the Athletes’ Village
The delegates took a tour of the Athletes’ Village, which features impressive training facilities designed for all disciplines in the program. They also visited the iconic camel racing and equestrian venues, as well as the Boulevard cluster, known for its expertise in organizing major sporting events.
The itinerary also included visits to the Malaz venues and the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Olympic Complex. These facilities stand out for their quality and proximity, ensuring a vibrant and optimal environment for athletes’ performance during competitions.
