These renowned Swedish clubs won in their respective categories at the bandy World Cup: Västerås SK took the title in the U-17 Women’s World Cup, while Villa Lidköping triumphed in the U-16 Men’s World Cup. Both tournaments were held in Sweden, the host country for all international bandy tournaments this season, further cementing its central role in the sport.

Västerås SK swept the women’s tournament, while Villa Lidköping faced a much more balanced men’s competition. VASTERAS SK SWEEPS
The Västerås SK women’s team not only took the title, but did so in sweeping fashion. Throughout the tournament, the team won all their matches with an impressive goal difference of 54-7, showing unquestionable superiority. In the final, Västerås SK defeated Surte/Kareby by a commanding 13-1, closing the tournament in triumphant fashion.
Västerås SK’s success was also reflected in the scoring list. Three of their players were among the tournament’s top scorers: Elin Palm with 15 goals, Hilda Kolsmyr with 12 and Ebba Martinsson with 11. These players shone in every game, becoming key players in their team’s success and demonstrating Västerås SK’s offensive strength.
VILLA LIDKOPING WINS THE U16 TITLE
In the case of the boys’ tournament, Villa Lidköping BK faced a much closer final. The team took the title after a tight win in Bollnäs, defeating last year’s champions Edsbyn with a final score of 3-2. The match was so even that at halftime both teams were tied 1-1, keeping the fans in suspense until the last minute.
As with the Västerås women’s team, Villa Lidköping also had some outstanding young goal scorers. Melvin Albinsson topped the scoring charts with 14 goals, followed by teammates Vilgot Johansson, who scored 12, and Wilton Pasjkin Isaksson, with 11. These players emerged as key players in Villa Lidköping’s success, securing victory with decisive goals at crucial moments.

With these results, Västerås SK and Villa Lidköping BK not only add trophies to their trophy cabinets, but consolidate their position as dominant forces in youth bandy worldwide.
