From November 21 to 23, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, will be the epicenter of continental sports with the 3rd Panam Sports Athletes’ Forum. Organized by Panam Sports and Olympic Solidarity, this event will bring together over 82 representatives from the 41 member countries, with the mission of strengthening the voice of athletes in the Olympic Movement.
This third edition, following those held in Miami and Cancun, will feature prominent athletes and experts discussing crucial topics for sports development, including Mental Health, Artificial Intelligence, Safe Sports, Anti-Doping, Personal Branding, and Career Transition. The live broadcast will be available on the Panam Sports Channel, allowing athletes from across the continent to participate virtually in the talks and workshops.
FEATURED FIGURES AND FORUM TOPICS
The event will feature renowned athletes such as five-time Olympic wrestling champion Mijaín López (Cuba), two-time Olympic medalist and BMX world champion Mariana Pajón (Colombia), and two-time Olympic champion Félix Sánchez (Dominican Republic). In addition, officials from Panam Sports and the host country will be present to enrich the debates and workshops.
The central topics of the forum aim to provide athletes with tools to face challenges both inside and outside their sports careers. As Neven Ilic, president of Panam Sports, stated: “We want the athletes’ voices to be heard loudly across the continent and the world.”
LIVE BROADCAST
Panam Sports Channel will be responsible for broadcasting each session live globally, hosted by Juan Miguel Villaverde and Danusia Francis. The broadcast will allow athletes and fans to access the presentations from over 20 speakers, who will share their experience and knowledge to guide the future of sports.
The forum promises to be a unique space for learning and projection for athletes, who will work together to create a roadmap that strengthens the Athletes’ Commissions of the Americas, consolidating their role as key actors in the development of sports on the continent.
