The Islamic Solidarity Games are not just a sporting event, they are also a gathering of cultures, stories, and shared dreams. With the arrival of its sixth edition in Riyadh 2025, this multi-sport event is set to take a leap in global visibility thanks to an innovative agreement. The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (AISS) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) forged a strategic partnership to bring the competitions, athletes, and their stories to millions of fans worldwide through digital platforms.

The agreement, signed by Gunilla Lindberg, Secretary General of ANOC, and Nasser Majali, Secretary General of AISS, aims to open a new window to sport, where the 3,500 athletes from 57 National Olympic Committees not only compete but also inspire. Live broadcasts via ISSA.TV and ANOC.TV, content production in specialized studios, and digital distribution will allow every discipline, from athletics to less conventional sports like camel racing, to connect with new audiences.

A Partnership that Amplifies Voices and Talent

Beyond the numbers and logistics, the agreement reflects a shared conviction: sport is a universal language that unites and builds bridges. Both Majali and Lindberg emphasized that the Games are an opportunity to highlight the personal stories of athletes, often overlooked, which demonstrate perseverance, sacrifice, and resilience. With this collaboration, every medal, every effort, and every gesture on and off the field will resonate beyond the borders of the Islamic world.

This partnership also marks a symbolic moment for global sport. It is not just about broadcasting competitions but creating a collective narrative where cultural differences become a source of richness. By opening the event to the digital world, the Islamic Solidarity Games find a new space to engage with younger generations and audiences who consume sport in an immediate, interactive, and shared way.

Riyadh 2025: Tradition, Modernity, and Legacy

The sixth edition of the Games, taking place from November 7 to 21 in Saudi Arabia, returns to its country of origin twenty years after its inaugural event in 2005. This return is not only geographical but also symbolic: it reflects the growth of an event that combines tradition and modernity. With a program that includes Olympic sports such as swimming, weightlifting, and judo, as well as local and emerging disciplines like muay thai, esports, and camel racing, Riyadh 2025 presents a diverse and vibrant mosaic.

The legacy aimed for goes beyond sports facilities. The emphasis on digital dissemination and international collaboration reflects a conscious effort to position the Games as a driver of unity and peace. In a world marked by tensions, the celebration in Riyadh will serve as a reminder that cultural diversity can be expressed in harmony through sport. Thus, the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games will not only be a competition but a message of shared hope.
