The FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2025

Seven outstanding players and one iconic coach have been officially inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. The induction ceremony took place in Bahrain as part of the FIBA 2025 Mid-Term Congress, adding prestige to an already memorable week.

The Class of 2025 includes renowned figures such as Alphonse Bilé (Ivory Coast), Andrew Bogut (Australia), Leonor Borrell (Cuba), Pau Gasol (Spain), Ticha Penicheiro (Portugal), Ratko Radovanovic (Serbia), Dawn Staley (USA) and legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski (USA).

A tribute to exceptional careers

During the ceremony, FIBA Hall of Fame member Predrag Stojakovic shared his experience of being inducted into this select group: “I think it’s all about the journey. For me, it’s been a long and humbling journey. Remembering where I came from, the teams and the country I represented, fills me with joy and a lot of memories.”

For her part, Michele Timms, a former Australian player and also a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame, noted: “It’s something incredibly special, and to say that is an understatement. Your legacy will always be there, and you become part of the history of the game. That’s what I really think is special.”

New Hall of Fame inductees

FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis underlined the importance of this ceremony: “FIBA established the Hall of Fame to honor those who made the game. There were 192 and now there are 200 with this very special class of 2025. We have been fortunate to witness these 8 incredible personalities.”

Zagklis added: “On behalf of FIBA, thank you. They are not only members of the Hall of Fame, they are distinguished members of the FIBA Family forever, and are an inspiration to future generations.”

New identity for the FIBA Hall of Fame

On the occasion of the Class of 2025 induction ceremony, the FIBA Hall of Fame unveiled its new visual identity. This design symbolizes the parquet where Hall of Fame members made their dreams come true, marking the path for the next generations.
