Pamplona-Iruña will host the U22 Basque Pelota World Championship from 25 to 31 August for the first time since its first edition in 1984. Pamplona-Iruña joins Arnedo, Soria, Valdepeñas, Barcelona, Palencia, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Íscar and Valleado.

These eight cities have hosted this international event in the 30-metre, 36-metre, 54-metre and trinquete fronton modalities.

SEVEN TEAMS ASPIRE TO BE THE FUTURE OF THE SPORT
The teams that will participate in this world championship are Argentina, which will compete in Pala Corta and Paleta Cuero. Bolivia will compete in Pelota Mano individual and pairs, Cuba will join Bolivia and add Pala Corta, Paleta Cuero and individual men’s Cesta Punta.
Spain, France and Mexico will compete in Pelota Mano individual and in pairs, in Pala Corta, in Paleta Cuero and Cesta Punta men’s individual and women’s pairs.
