The IOC seeks suppliers for the Athlete365 Business Accelerator Programme

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has launched a call to identify qualified suppliers who can contribute to the success of the Athlete365 Business Accelerator Programme. This programme, designed to support Olympic, Paralympic, and elite athletes in their transition to life after sport, aims to foster entrepreneurship among athletes.

The deadline to submit expressions of interest (RFEI) is April 24 at midnight (CET), and interested suppliers must meet specific requirements to participate in the selection process.

Supporting athlete entrepreneurs

The Athlete365 Business Accelerator Programme, offered through the Athlete365 platform, aims to equip athletes with the skills, mentorship, and resources needed to develop and scale their business ventures. This blended learning programme is delivered in English, French, and Spanish, ensuring global accessibility and inclusion for athletes from diverse backgrounds and sports disciplines.

The programme includes interactive online modules covering topics such as ideation, business fundamentals, financial planning, leadership, and marketing. It is complemented by live workshops and mentorship opportunities with industry leaders and business experts.

Requirements for programme suppliers

The IOC is seeking a supplier to operate and enhance the Athlete365 Business Accelerator Programme by:

  • Programme management and delivery: Seamless implementation of learning modules and the mentorship component, with regional customization to meet athletes’ needs.
  • Entrepreneurial support and mentorship: Availability of a global network of mentors and investors, facilitating one-on-one coaching and peer networking.
  • Marketing and athlete engagement: Creating engaging content to increase reach and participation, while highlighting why athletes are well-suited for entrepreneurship.
  • Sponsorship activation: Collaborating with interested TOP Partners to integrate their expertise into the programme and engage with athletes.

Required skills and experience

Organizations interested in operating the programme must demonstrate expertise in:

  • Delivering programmes related to sports and entrepreneurship.
  • Creating educational content and blended learning models.
  • Using digital platforms and analytics tools.
  • Providing multilingual content (English, French, and Spanish).
  • Marketing and communication skills to boost athlete engagement.

RFEI application process

Interested suppliers must contact Rodrigo Garza at ‘rodrigo.garza@olympic.org‘ to express their interest. Applicants must include a one-page summary of relevant expertise and submit a signed version of the Confidentiality Agreement and the IOC General Terms & Conditions of Purchase.

Only a limited number of qualified candidates will receive the Request for Proposal documentation to proceed with the selection process.

Deadline and process conditions

The deadline to submit expressions of interest is April 24 at midnight (CET). The IOC clarifies that this call is solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a contract offer. Additionally, the IOC reserves the right to modify or withdraw the call at any time without prior notice.
