The Americas Paralympic Committee (AmPC), the highest authority of the National Paralympic Committees in the continent, signed an agreement on August 28 with the National Paralympic Committee of Chile, officially designating Santiago as the host city for the upcoming Santiago 2025 Paralympic Youth Games.
Following the significant legacy left by the Pan American and Parapan American Games held in Santiago in 2023, the Chilean capital has been highly regarded for its excellent organization, achieved infrastructure, and the positive experiences of the athletes. Chile’s Minister of Sports, Jaime Pizarro, expressed his anticipation: “I am very happy to sign this contract, especially in the context of the UNESCO event on sport and inclusion. Chile has a great sports calendar, and these games will enrich it while aiming to further develop Paralympic sport.”
