Koror, Palau, is preparing to welcome nearly 1,500 athletes who will compete in the 2025 Pacific Mini Games, one of the region’s most prominent sporting events. From this Sunday until July 9, 24 national and territorial teams will compete in 14 sports disciplines, consolidating this event as a key date on the international calendar.
The competition, organized by the Pacific Games Council, brings together athletes from across Oceania, including guest teams from Australia and New Zealand, which have been participating since 2017.
Second Pacific Mini Games in Palau
This will be the second time that Palau has hosted the Pacific Mini Games, having previously hosted them in 2005. On that occasion, New Caledonia led the medal table. The opening ceremony will take place this Sunday at the Koror National Stadium, marking the official start of the competitions and attended by delegations from across the region.
The 2025 Pacific Mini Games include 14 sports, including athletics, swimming, volleyball, and weightlifting. This varied program offers athletes the opportunity to compete for medals and regional titles while proudly representing their countries and territories.
