The Serbian team Ub secured their second consecutive title by defeating Baskets Bonn Telekom (GER) 19-15 in the final of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Vienna 2025, held this Sunday. This victory consolidates the Serbs as one of the powerhouses of the 3×3 circuit, standing out for their ability to react and dominate at key moments.
After a difficult start in the group stage, where they suffered a defeat against London and a scare against Hangzhou, Ub showed their best form in the knockout rounds. With convincing victories over Raudondvaris Hoptrans and Amsterdam Rabobank, the Serbs secured their place in the final, ready to face an inspired Baskets Bonn Telekom.
A dream run for Baskets Bonn Telekom
For their part, the German team had a memorable campaign in Vienna, standing out for their ability to close out games at the most critical moments. In the semifinals, Fabian Giessmann became the hero by scoring a buzzer-beater that sent them to the final. This fighting spirit led them to go toe-to-toe with the Serbs in the decisive game.
The final began with both teams exchanging points quickly, setting an intense pace from the start. The Germans, led by their young talent, took an early 4-3 lead, but the Serbs quickly tied the score, leaving everything open for the second half of the game.
Ub overcomes adversity and takes control
Despite finding themselves in foul trouble, with 7 fouls to the Germans’ 1, Ub kept their cool. Strahinja Stojacic and Nemanja Barac led the attack in the paint, while Giessmann remained a constant threat to the Serbs. With the score tied at 5-5 and time running out, the match became a strategic duel.
That’s when Dejan Majstorovic, known as ‘the Master’, took center stage. With decisive shots, the Serbian tipped the balance in his team’s favor. In the final two minutes, Ub managed to pull away for good thanks to Stojacic’s accuracy, securing a victory that crowned them champions.

In addition to the team title, Ub celebrated the individual recognition of its players. Majstorovic was the tournament’s top scorer with 37 points and a player rating of 38.6, winning the MVP award.
