On September 3rd, the 10th edition of the AHF Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship kicked off in Amman, Jordan. This tournament brings together 13 teams from across Asia, with the top five teams in the final standings securing their place in the 2025 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship, scheduled for next summer.
The Republic of Korea enters the competition as the most successful team in the history of the championship, with seven medals, including gold in the inaugural 2005 edition and the most recent one in 2022, when they defeated the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bahrain. This achievement makes them the leading candidates to repeat their success in this edition.
