Freediving competitions organized by the International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA) continue to expand worldwide, offering opportunities for both athletes looking to push their limits and enthusiasts eager to follow the feats of the sport’s top performers. In April 2025, a series of events across different categories will take place in various countries, covering both pool and depth disciplines, allowing competitors to measure their performance under different conditions.
Pool competitions will feature prominent events such as the AIDA Armenia Cup in Yerevan, the Horizontal Blue in Cabo San Lucas, and the 5th edition of the Pool Party of MOS in Beijing, among others. Meanwhile, in the depth category, competitions like the AIDA Deepspot Mini Comp in Poland and the Freediving Friend Cup in the Philippines will be held. These tournaments not only provide a platform for the sport’s development but also foster the global freediving community and the exchange of knowledge among participants.
UPCOMING COMPETITIONS
In the pool category, the action will begin on April 3 with the AIDA Armenia Cup in Yerevan and will continue throughout the month with events in Mexico, the Philippines, China, Lithuania, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. The AIDA Panglao Pool Championship Season 5: Finale and the Eindhoven International AIDA Pool Competition will be among the most anticipated competitions, bringing together talented freedivers in high-level settings.
On the other hand, the depth discipline will feature events such as the AIDA Deepspot Mini Comp on April 4 in Poland and the 15th Freediving Friend Cup in Bohol, Philippines, on April 5. Additionally, the AIDA CND Cup in Cebu and the AIDA Taiwanese Cup in Pingtung will round out a month filled with underwater challenges. With this extensive schedule, AIDA reaffirms its commitment to the growth and professionalization of freediving on a global scale.
