Alex de Miñaur is one of the tennis players with the most promising future. Currently ranked number 11 in the world, his greatest desire is to represent Australia in Paris 2024. De Miñaur missed the Tokyo 2020 Olympics due to COVID, and now he wants Paris 2024 to be his first Games.

“Going to the Olympic Games is one of my childhood dreams; it will be very special to be there,” commented the Australian tennis player, who still remembers the moment of not being able to go to Tokyo due to Covid. “I had to go through a tough time and had to miss the Games; it was quite difficult.”

The tennis tournament at Paris 2024 will be held at the Roland Garros courts, which doesn’t favor the player much as he has never advanced past the second round of this Grand Slam. Nonetheless, he comments that “it will be a strange feeling to be back at Roland Garros; but in the end, it will be the first time.”

In addition to playing his matches, De Miñaur will have plenty of free time to experience the Olympic atmosphere, and he already knows how he will spend all that free time. “I would love to watch many track athletes, swimmers, basketball players; I would like to meet many athletes whom I have never met before.”
