This Wednesday, the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) held its second workshop on artificial intelligence (AI), reaffirming its commitment to supporting National Olympic Committees (NOCs) in their digital transformation.

This event is part of the Digital Accelerator Programme and complements the first workshop by focusing on practical use cases of AI in communications, such as prompts writing, documentary research and image generation. These areas enable NOCs to increase efficiency and responsiveness in their daily activities.

ADVANCED APPLICATIONS

The results of a pre-workshop survey revealed that many NOCs are already using AI for basic tasks, such as content automation and document management. However, there is growing interest in more advanced applications, highlighting NOCs’ desire to deepen their adoption of the technology.

The workshop also served as a platform for active collaboration, bringing together 120 participants from 59 NOCs and other organisations in the Olympic movement. Attendees shared their experiences and were inspired by the views of their peers, further strengthening the spirit of collaboration and exchange of best practices.

THE IA TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION

Discussions underlined the importance of AI not only to improve internal processes, but also to optimise content creation and public relations management for the NOCs.

The workshop included practical presentations and interactive sessions, where participants explored concrete tools and integration strategies.

NEXT UP, DIGITAL MARKETING

The third AI workshop will focus on using AI to excel in marketing and will take place on 18 February. NOCs and their partners will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and discover innovative solutions to improve their marketing strategies in the digital age.

This workshop series reflects ANOC’s commitment to support NOCs in their digital transformation through the Digital Accelerator Programme. Furthermore, the initiative aligns with the Olympic AI Agenda announced by the IOC in April 2024, which aims to foster innovation and efficiency across the Olympic ecosystem.
