The countdown has begun: from September 9 to 14, 2025, Rosario will host the first edition of the Argentine High-Performance Games (JADAR), an unprecedented competition that will integrate Olympic and Paralympic sports in a single event. In a meeting held this month at the city’s Hippodrome, the organizing committee shared the latest progress with authorities from the Argentine Olympic Committee (COA), the Paralympic Committee (COPAR), technical delegates, and representatives from national and local federations.
During the meeting, the competition schedule, the composition of the technical teams, and the venue adaptation plan were presented. With 58 confirmed disciplines-41 Olympic and 17 Paralympic, 10 of them simultaneously-JADAR aims to establish itself as a platform for comprehensive sports development in Argentina. “We deeply thank everyone who has been part of this fundamental stage,” expressed Mario Moccia, president of the COA.
A comprehensive commitment to Argentine sports
The event not only represents a key date for high performance but also an opportunity for national federations to interact with their local counterparts, strengthening ties and promoting investment in sports infrastructure. Parque Independencia will be the center of activity, with more than 3,500 athletes from across the country competing in Rosario. Authorities emphasized that collaboration between Olympic and Paralympic organizations will ensure efficient organization and an inclusive experience.
The creation of JADAR marks a before and after for Argentine sports. Designed to take place every four years, this event will showcase new disciplines such as wushu kungfu, artistic swimming, and chess, becoming a key tool within the national Olympic and Paralympic calendar. As Moccia highlighted, “Olympic and Paralympic sports, working together, allow us to unite efforts and provide more opportunities to our athletes.”
