The countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 reached a new milestone with the official unveiling of its artistic posters. Ten young Italian creators under the age of 40 were selected to visually interpret the spirit of the event, in a collection that blends contemporary art, culture, and the universal values of sport. The works were revealed at the Triennale Milano, one of the most important cultural venues in the country.
The initiative is the result of a collaboration between the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, the Triennale Milano museum, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). As part of the Cultural Olympiad program, the posters not only pay tribute to a tradition that began in 1972 but also project a new generation of Italian artists onto a global platform.
A fusion of youth, legacy and Olympic values
The five official Olympic posters were created by Beatrice Alici, Martina Cassatella, Giorgia Garzilli, Maddalena Tesser, and Flaminia Veronesi, while the Paralympic posters were crafted by Roberto De Pinto, Andrea Fontanari, Aronne Pleuteri, Clara Woods, and Giulia Mangoni. Curated by Damiano Gullì, Head of Contemporary Art at the Triennale, the selection reflects the dynamism of today’s Italian painting, in line with recent exhibitions like Pittura Italiana Oggi. Each work was conceived as an original piece in poster format, aiming to freely capture the values and energy of the Winter Games.
The pieces will be exhibited in the newly renovated Piano Parco galleries at the Triennale Milano from June 19, 2025, to March 15, 2026, alongside the Olympic and Paralympic torches unveiled in April. According to the Triennale’s Director General, Carla Morogallo, this collaboration highlights the dialogue between sport and culture through multiple artistic perspectives. In addition to the exhibition, reproductions of the posters will be available for purchase, broadening access for the general public to these works that are part of the symbolic and visual legacy of Milano Cortina 2026.
