FIBA 3×3 completed a busy international weekend with Vienna as the main showcase of the global circuit and with Pristina and Košice defining new places for the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup Crelan 2026. Amsterdam Rabobank won the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Vienna 2026, Madrid claimed their first title of the season in the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series 2026 and several national teams secured qualification for Antwerp, in a sequence of events that reinforced the competitive reach of the format.
The significance of this block of competitions went beyond the results. The FIBA 3×3 calendar brings together professional teams, national teams, the men’s circuit, women’s competition, development categories and adapted basketball within the same international ecosystem. Vienna again acted as one of the most recognisable stops on the world calendar, while the qualifiers in Kosovo and Slovakia expanded the European route towards the Europe Cup, with places decided in highly demanding tournaments.
Vienna brings together the World Tour and Women’s Series
Amsterdam Rabobank won their first FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2026 title in the Austrian capital after coming through a demanding bracket and defeating Liman in the final. The Dutch team prevailed 18-13 in the decisive game and became the fifth different winner in the first five stops of the season, a figure that underlines the balance of the circuit and the range of contenders in the global 3×3 race.
Worthy de Jong was named Most Valuable Player -MVP- of the World Tour Vienna 2026 after leading Amsterdam Rabobank throughout the tournament and once again confirming his weight within international 3×3. The event also strengthened Vienna’s position as one of the major urban venues in the discipline, with a city-centre setting, strong crowds and an expanded programme that included not only the World Tour, but also the Women’s Series, the Nations League and wheelchair 3×3 competitions.
Madrid opens their account in the Women’s Series
In the women’s competition, Madrid claimed their first title of the season in the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series by defeating Ulaanbaatar Amazons in the Vienna final. The Spanish team came through one of the most unpredictable tournaments of the campaign, with several top seeds eliminated in the quarter-finals and a bracket that demanded resilience, defensive solidity and execution in decisive moments.
The Spanish victory also had an individual standout in Juana Camilion, who was named MVP of the Vienna stop after playing a key role throughout the weekend. Madrid therefore closed an important win within the women’s calendar before the next Women’s Series stop, scheduled in Orleans on 16 and 17 June, where teams will continue to build competitive rhythm and collect points in the season standings.
Pristina and Košice expand the road to Antwerp 2026
The weekend also produced new European places for the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup Crelan 2026. In the qualifier held in Pristina, Ireland secured the men’s ticket and Azerbaijan the women’s place, in a tournament with only one berth available per gender. The Irish team responded after an opening defeat to Cyprus and eventually sealed qualification, while Azerbaijan completed an unbeaten run with a tight final against Ireland.
In Košice, Switzerland and Italy secured the two available men’s places, while Hungary and Slovenia claimed the women’s tickets to Antwerp. These national teams now join the field for the Europe Cup Crelan 2026, while the FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2026 will continue from 19 to 21 June in Amsterdam, with the global calendar linking new circuit stops and continental competition.
