FIBA extends partnership with Schelde Sports for equipment through 2028

The world of basketball continues its pursuit of technical excellence with the renewal of the agreement between FIBA and Schelde Sports, extending their partnership through 2028. This commitment ensures that the world’s top basketball tournaments will continue to feature the highest-quality basketball support systems, essential for optimal player performance and an unforgettable experience for spectators. This renewal comes at a pivotal moment, as FIBA’s calendar includes major events like EuroBasket 2025 and the Women’s World Cup 2026, marking a new chapter in the sport’s evolution.

Schelde Sports, recognized as the Official Technical Supplier since 2017, has been a crucial ally for FIBA in the development and innovation of basketball equipment. Recently, the company stood out by introducing integrated LED screens on backboard padding during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, reaffirming its commitment to cutting-edge technology and excellence in every tournament.

INNOVATION AND COMMITMENT

With this renewal, Schelde Sports will continue supplying its premium support units for events such as FIBA EuroBasket 2025, to be held in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland; the Women’s World Cup 2026 in Germany; and the 2027 World Cup in Qatar. Additionally, its products will feature in the Olympic Basketball Tournament during the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, marking significant milestones for the collaboration between both organizations.
