A delegation from the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has inspected all aspects of the preparations for the 2027 World University Games in Chungcheong (South Korea). The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress ahead of the inspection by the FISU International Technical Committee in November. The site was inspected, and discussions were held regarding the Master Plan to ensure that preparations are on track.

The delegation, led by Jing Zhao, Director of the FISU Summer Games, visited all facilities and assessed the progress with the responsible sports directors in March. The FISU delegation gave a generally positive evaluation, thus confirming good progress in the preparations for the FISU Games in 2027.

In addition to visiting the facilities, FISU offered seminars for the sports officials, focusing on the Master Plan for the Games. The President of the Organizing Committee, Chang-hee Kang, and the FISU representatives committed to further strengthening the close cooperation between both parties.

The inspection was a success, and the Organizing Committee of the FISU World University Games assured that all planned activities would proceed as scheduled. Jing Zhao, Director of the FISU Summer Games Department, expressed her satisfaction, stating, “We are very pleased with the in-depth discussions with the organizing committee on key areas of preparation for the Games.”

Vice President Chang-Seop Lee added, “The visit from the FISU inspection team was a valuable opportunity to review the state of readiness, and we will continue our efforts to ensure the successful hosting of the Games.”
