The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final 2025 for the first time, bringing the top teams of the circuit to Manama on 21–22 November. A total of twelve teams, qualified through the World Tour season, will compete at the Harbour North waterfront, joined by the host club Seef, in a season-ending event that has strengthened 3×3 basketball as a leading urban sports format worldwide.

The event reinforces Bahrain’s growing profile as an emerging sports destination, following the country’s hosting of World Tour stops in 2023 and 2024. Since the creation of the World Tour in 2012, the Final has rotated across major international cities, and the selection of Manama adds a new venue to the list of hosts for the season-ending showpiece, designed to blend elite competition with a vibrant urban festival atmosphere.

The host and the favourite, side by side

The competition draw features groups of the highest level, led by Ub of Serbia as the top-seeded team. The Serbian side arrives in Manama atop the overall standings with six titles in 2025, reinforcing their position as the benchmark of the circuit. Ub will face Riffa, representing Bahrain, and Vienna of Austria, winners of one of this season’s Masters events.

Pool B will be headed by Miami of the United States, after a season that included two titles and consistent performances in late-stage rounds. Their group also features Chongming and Hangzhou, both from China, who have shown steady improvement despite not yet securing a trophy in 2025. In Pool C, Amsterdam Rabobank of the Netherlands arrive boosted by their recent win in Bucharest, placed alongside Raudondvaris Hoptrans of Lithuania and Partizan of Serbia. Pool D will be completed by Liman, one of Serbia’s long-standing 3×3 powerhouses, Toulouse of France, and one final qualifier emerging from Skyliners of Germany, Lugano of Switzerland, or Seef as the local representative.

The 2025 season and the contenders for the title

The 2025 season has been defined by remarkable parity, with at least nine different teams winning titles across the World Tour stops. That list includes Toulouse, Liman, Raudondvaris Hoptrans, Vienna, London, Lugano and Skyliners — winners in Abu Dhabi — as well as Amsterdam Rabobank and Miami, who secured two titles. Ub remain the most successful team of the year, with six victories and the overall lead in the standings.

In the historical context of the World Tour, teams such as Novi Sad of Serbia have left a lasting mark on the competition since 2012. The Manama edition maintains the traditional format of twelve teams qualifying through sporting merit and adds a new Gulf venue at a time of continued global expansion for 3×3 basketball.

Expectations in Manama

Sports authorities in Bahrain have highlighted the significance of hosting the event for the country. The Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee noted that bringing the Final to Manama is “a moment of pride” and reflects the kingdom’s growing recognition as a sports destination. Officials from FIBA 3×3 have pointed to Manama’s organisational standards and the atmosphere expected at Harbour North, describing it as a fitting location for a world-class urban sports festival.

The presence of Riffa and Seef strengthens the local impact of the competition, which aims to encourage 3×3 participation among young people and communities across the country. The event forms part of Bahrain’s national sports strategy to expand the basketball base and promote new development pathways. The Final will bring the twelve qualified teams to Manama on 21–22 November, in an event set to determine the FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2025 champion without altering the international calendar.
