The Olympic Association of Pakistan organized a sports integrity workshop in Lahore this weekend with the support of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The event brought together 120 participants from national federations, departments, and provinces to address key issues related to protection and transparency in sport.
The main objectives of the seminar included the prevention of competition manipulation, raising awareness about doping, and protection in the sporting arena. These areas are fundamental to ensuring a safe and fair environment for athletes and competitions in Pakistan.
The work of the OCA
Of the 120 participants, the 15 most outstanding were selected by the Olympic Association of Pakistan to participate in an advanced session. This additional program aims to further their training and prepare them as future leaders in promoting safe and ethical sport.
The workshop not only had an impact at the national level, but also falls within the OCA’s efforts to promote sports integrity throughout Asia. The live broadcast allowed the event to have a wider reach, encouraging participation and interest in these issues beyond Pakistan’s borders.
