Beach volleyball fans can now secure their place at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Cup 2025, to be held in Adelaide, Australia, from November 14-23. It will be the first time this prestigious tournament will be played in Australia, promising an unforgettable experience for players and spectators.
The 2025 World Cup will feature the best beach volleyball teams in the world, including Olympic and world champions. Following the monumental success of beach volleyball at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where matches were played under the iconic Eiffel Tower, the tournament in Adelaide will offer USD 500,000 in prize money per gender, cementing itself as one of the most lucrative events of the season.
THREE VENUES AND BEACH FESTIVAL
The championship will be held at three venues located on Adelaide’s North Shore: Pinky Flat, The Drive and Torrens Parade Ground. Fans will be able to enjoy exciting matches in a unique setting with a beach festival atmosphere that promises to attract thousands of spectators.
Tickets, which are available now, start at AUD 25 and are offered in various categories including The Beach Club, Sand Suites, VIP Sand Seats, Premium Reserved, Reserved Seating and General Admission to suit all budgets and preferences.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND STANDINGS
A total of 48 teams per gender will compete in the 2025 World Cup. Of these, 25 teams will qualify through the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, 20 will qualify through the continental qualifiers and three will receive special invitations (wild cards). The final list of participants will be announced on October 6, 2025, after the qualification process is completed.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The tournament will begin with the group stage, which will be played from November 14 to 17. The knockout phase will be played from November 18 to 21, while the semifinals will take place on November 22. The medal matches will close the event on November 23.
