The secrets of all Olympic Games venues at Paris 2024

This summer, Paris is synonymous with sport and the Olympic Games and all of France, in addition to its capital, has engraved its Olympic motto, Citius, Altius, Fortius (Faster, Higher, Stronger). The Olympic spirit will spread throughout the country and precisely for this reason, the venues will go beyond Paris.

The Trocadero, where the Parc des Champions will be set up in the heart of the city, will be the gathering place to cheer on the medal-winning athletes, their achievements and their stories. With the Eiffel Tower in the background, there will also be projections of highlights and the athletics and cycling events.

The Eiffel Tower Stadium promises spectacular scenes with beach volleyball right at its feet. One of the sports par excellence in the Olympic Games is swimming, from the Alexandre III Bridge you will be able to enjoy open water swimming and triathlon. The bridge connects on one side with the historic Invalides complex which is reserved for archery and on the other with the Grand Palais, with its iconic glass roof and steel structure, will be the venue for fencing and taekwondo competitions during Paris 2024.

La Concorde, the square where Marie Antoinette was guillotined, has been transformed into an urban park to host breakdancing. Tennis will be played in an unbeatable setting, the Roland-Garros courts will witness the best tennis matches. In addition to tennis, boxing and volleyball will also be contested.

The start of the marathon will take place against the backdrop of the Hotel de la Ville, while soccer matches will be played at the Parc des Princes and judo and wrestling will take place at the Champ de Mars Arena. Basketball matches will be played at the Bercy Arena. The Porte de la Chapelle Arena has been built for Paris 2024 but with a view to its longevity, its surface is practically covered by vegetation and will be a resting place for visitors. Located in the heart of the Paris Expo, the Paris Sud Arena will host table tennis, volleyball and weightlifting.

VENUES ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF PARIS

The home of field field hockey is the Yves-du.manoir at Colombes in Hauts-de-seine, site of the opening ceremony of the 1924 Olympic Games. The Paris La Défense Stadium (Nanterre) will be the venue for swimming and water polo. In Saint-Denis, the Aquatic Center will host diving, water polo and artistic swimming, and the Stade de France will serve as the Olympic Stadium.

The venue for sport climbing will be Le Bourget with up to five walls, one of them covered. The Paris Nord Arena has been the venue for boxing and the modern pentathlon fencing qualification. The setting for the aristocratic luxury of the Sun King, the Palace of Versailles is the perfect stage for equestrian disciplines and the modern pentathlon. Golf will be played at the Golf National the 18-hole course that has already hosted among many other tournaments, the Ryder Cup in 2018. BMX and road cycling will be on view at Saint-Quentin-Yvelines.

OLYMPIC VENUES THROUGHOUT FRANCE

The stadiums of Lille, Lyon, Olympique de Marseille, Nice, Saint-Etienne, Nantes and Bordeaux will host different competitions, the Stade Nautique, in Vaires-Sur-Marne will be the epicenter of rowing and canoeing. The Chateauroux Shooting Center will be the venue for Olympic shooting. Olympic sailing will be at the Roucas Blanc Nautical Stadium in Marseille.

Something new is the location of the surfing. Tahiti will be the venue for these events, the organization has taken care of every detail to make this one of the most outstanding events of the Olympic Games.
