The Organizing Committee of the French Alps 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games recently confirmed the appointment of Cyril Linette as its new CEO. Linette will be responsible for overseeing the operational, legal and financial aspects of the committee, under the direction of Edgar Grospiron, president of French Alps 2030, who proposed his appointment.

An outstanding profile: Cyril Linette’s background

Cyril Linette, 54, has a solid background in the sports, media and business sectors. His career began in sports media, where he served as head of the sports division of French television channel Canal+. During his time at Canal+, Linette led the coverage of high-profile sporting events, cementing his reputation as an expert in sports content management.

Subsequently, he took on the position of general manager of the French sports daily ‘L’Équipe’, one of the most influential sports media in France. In this role, Linette drove the modernization of the newspaper, adapting it to new digital trends and strengthening its presence on multimedia platforms.

Later, Linette served as CEO of the Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) group, a key organization in the horse racing industry in France. During his tenure, he implemented innovative strategies that revitalized the sector and improved the company’s operational efficiency.
