The city of Irapuato, Mexico, will host the 2024 Centrobasket Women’s Championship, which will take place from November 5 to 10, as confirmed by the FIBA Americas Regional Office. This major regional tournament will bring together eight national teams from the Central American and Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CONCENCABA), whose names will be announced soon.

Inforum Irapuato has been chosen as the venue to welcome the teams competing in this edition. The participating teams will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals, while the remaining teams will compete for positions five to eight. The semifinal winners will face off in the final to crown the champion, while the losers will compete for the bronze medal.

This tournament also carries significant importance as a qualifier, with the top four teams securing their spot for the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup, adding extra motivation for the participants. Puerto Rico enters as the reigning champion, having won three consecutive titles in previous editions.
