Young individuals aspiring to use sport as a tool to tackle social challenges in their communities can now apply for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Program for the 2025-2028 period. A total of 25 participants will be selected, with their names announced in February 2025.

Since its inception in 2016, the program has led to more than 160 initiatives promoting education, inclusion, health, peace, and sustainability. These actions have benefited over 37,000 individuals in various communities, demonstrating the positive impact that sport can have on society.

Interested candidates, aged between 20 and 28, can register until October 21, 2024, to participate in a four-week Learning Sprint. This sprint includes virtual sessions and reflection exercises on various topics. Those who successfully complete this initial process will have the opportunity to formally apply between November 18 and December 16, 2024.

Selected young leaders will receive support from the IOC and access to a network of mentors to develop their projects. Each participant will receive initial funding of 10,000 CHF over four years, along with the chance to attend monthly workshops, international events, and receive specialized guidance.

The IOC Young Leaders Program not only empowers youth but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, promoting Olympism 365 days a year.
