World Triathlon has taken a major step in its digital transformation with the launch of its new website – worldtriathlon.com – and content management system (CMS). This development promises to deliver a more integrated and accessible experience for triathlon fans, participants and event organisers alike.
The new platform, developed after months of planning and work, marks the beginning of a broader digital strategy that will be implemented over the coming months, with ongoing enhancements and new features designed to enrich the user experience.
A MOBILE PLATFORM AND INTEGRATED EVENT HUB
The main new feature of this launch is the transition to a modern infrastructure focused on mobile accessibility. The site incorporates a comprehensive Event Hub that allows users to register for competitions, check results and follow their favourite athletes with just one click.
This enhancement not only streamlines navigation, but also responds to the needs of an increasingly mobile-connected audience, making it easier to access key information quickly and efficiently.
UPCOMING INNOVATIONS ON THE HORIZON
World Triathlon has ambitious plans for the next steps of this digital transformation. In future stages, all WTCS (World Triathlon Championship Series) websites will be integrated into a single platform, offering a unified experience through a single sign-on system.
In addition, the new CMS will act as a foundation for further developments such as mobile applications, internal management systems and user experience enhancements. This approach will ensure that fans and athletes alike can interact with the sport in a more intuitive and personalised way.
A TEAM DEDICATED TO SUCCESS
The launch of this new website has been made possible by the combined efforts of the entire World Triathlon team. In particular, thanks are due to the leadership of Marisol Casado and Antonio Arimany, who drove the project from its inception.
