AIDA (International Association for the Development of Freediving) continues to consolidate its position as the most prominent organization in the field of freediving, organizing competitions in different parts of the world at the highest level. The upcoming events that the organization has scheduled represent an opportunity for high-level athletes and amateurs to enjoy the excitement and challenge of this demanding and spiritual sport.
Being a world reference implies having the world as a game board and in the following competitions it is clear that AIDA covers seas, oceans and pools in many different parts of the world to continue expanding its sport.
POOL COMPETITIONS
– November 2-3: German AIDA Championships in Leipzig, Germany. This event will bring together the best athletes in Germany where freediving endurance and technique will be put to the test.
– November 2-3: AAS AIDA Pool Championships, Singapore. This championship will be a key event for the best freedivers in the region, an opportunity to measure themselves in static and dynamic freediving.
– November 3: Lundby October Static in Gothenburg, Sweden. This competition is focused on static freediving.
– November 8-10: Höstapneaden 2024, also in Gothenburg, Sweden. With several pool freediving disciplines, it promises to be one of the most exciting events on the European calendar.
– November 9: Ultimate Quest in Warsaw, Poland. It will attract top Polish freedivers.
– November 9-10: AIDA Malaysian Freediving Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A platform for the Southeast Asian freediving community.
TEAM COMPETITION
– November 10-11: 8th Korea Cup Series AIDA Team Competition in Seogwipo, South Korea.
DEEP DIVING COMPETITIONS
Deep freediving events in the Philippines and Mexico.
– October 31 – November 3: AIDA Mabini Depth Quest in Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. In collaboration with Lawom and Pacific Blue, this competition will be a test of endurance and skill underwater, offering challenges for the world’s best freedivers in one of the most beautiful destinations in the Philippine archipelago.
– November 1-3: 1st AIDA Baja Sur Challenge, La Paz, Mexico. This event on the Mexican coast is expected to bring together local and international athletes to compete in deep freediving, taking advantage of the Pacific waters.
– November 8: AIDA Official Friday, Panglao, Philippines. This is an event to be held in the aforementioned Panglao region, known for its excellent conditions for deep freediving.
