The Closing Ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Asu 2025 Junior Pan American Games took place at the Olympic Park of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, featuring an official program that combined protocol and cultural performances. The event marked the conclusion of an edition organized by Panam Sports, which brought together young athletes from across the continent.
The evening began with the parade of delegations and the Paraguayan National Anthem performed by Jazmín del Paraguay. Later, Panam Sports President Neven Ilic stated: “This celebration would not be possible without the great work of the Organizing Committee. Thank you for working day and night tirelessly.” He also praised the volunteers, describing them as an essential part of the success of the Games.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the audiovisual piece “We Will Be a Legend,” which celebrated the effort and resilience of the participants. A cultural segment followed, with performances by Tierra Adentro, Susan Saldívar, and a troupe of folkloric dancers under the title “Paraguay, Land of Enchantment.”
Pan American flag handover
The institutional section of the evening included the lowering of the Panam Sports and International Olympic Committee -IOC- flags. Afterwards, Camilo Pérez López Moreira, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, carried out the symbolic handover of the Pan American flag to Panam Sports, in a formal act that marked the end of this edition.
The protocol continued with the extinguishing of the Pan American flame, performed by 11 contemporary dancers, symbolizing the conclusion of the Games. This moment represented the most solemn part of the ceremony before moving to the final festive segment.
Artistic segment and closing celebration
Following the official protocol, the celebration continued with artistic and musical performances. The group Rombai and DJ Faro led the program, joined by more than 60 urban dancers. The official mascots, ‘Tito’ and ‘Tika’, took part in the finale, encouraging the audience with the song “We Are Pan Americans.”
The Closing Ceremony reflected both Paraguay’s organizational capacity and the support of Panam Sports, consolidating an institutional and sporting legacy that becomes part of the continental projection of the youth Olympic movement.
