The Egyptian national taekwondo team, currently training in South Korea, is set to head to Paris 2024 on July 25 after completing their camp. They will continue their preparations in France until the start of the taekwondo competitions.

The team features Saif Eissa, a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and the World Championships in Baku. Eissa has also secured silver medals in the under-80 kg category at the Manchester and Rome Grand Prix events in recent years.
Aya Shehata, competing in the under-67 kg category, has qualified for the Olympics. Shehata boasts a gold medal in the under-67 kg division from the Arab Cup held in Fujairah last year. She also clinched gold at the African Taekwondo Qualification Tournament in Dakar this year.
AHMED, THE FUTURE
The third member of the team, Ahmed Wael, 23, will compete in the under-68 kg category. Wael earned a bronze medal at the African Championships.
The taekwondo competitions at the 2024 Olympics will take place from August 7 to 10 at the Grand Palais in Paris, featuring 128 athletes across eight weight categories.
