The Brevet Olympique Olympique Civique et Sportif (#BOCS) program continues to expand in Senegal, bringing its activities to the north of the country with stops in Saint-Louis, Louga and Matam last week. This program seeks to raise awareness among young people about the values of Olympism and encourage their participation in sports and civic activities, as well as serve as a platform for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
BOCS is part of an ambitious national rollout plan that aims to reach more than 900,000 students across Senegal by 2026. This program not only seeks to educate young people about the values of Olympism, but also to empower participating schools to integrate these activities autonomously into their communities.
Promotion of Dakar 2026
The BOCS deployment also serves as a platform to promote the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in just over 18 months. This event of international scope seeks to involve the entire Senegalese population, highlighting the importance of sport as a tool for unity and development.
The BOCS program not only prepares young people for the Youth Olympic Games, but also leaves a lasting legacy in Senegal’s education and sports system. By integrating Olympic values into school activities, BOCS contributes to the development of a generation committed to respect, solidarity and excellence.
