The International Bandy Federation (FIB) announces the list of eligible candidates for its Executive Committee (EC). The elections will take place at the FIB Ordinary Congress 2024 organized in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 8, 2024.
As part of the ongoing governance reform, the FIB statutes were amended in 2023, including principles of good governance. The implemented improvements include term limits, gender balance, and athlete representation in the EC, among others.
Following a transparent nomination process and schedule, the Electoral Committee has reviewed and examined all candidates put forward by reputable Member Associations, ensuring each candidate meets the highest standards of integrity, experience, and dedication to lead the sport towards a promising future. This significant milestone reflects FIB’s commitment to transparency, inclusion, and excellence in leadership.
CANDIDATES
The candidates for president are Nilsson Henrik (SWE) and Pedersen Stein (NOR). As candidates for first vice-president, Adamfi Atila (HUN), Parviainen Antti (FIN), Pedersen Stein (NOR); as vice-president candidates, Adamfi Atila (HUN), Entaltsev Mikhail (GER), Parviainen Antti (FIN), Pedersen Stein (NOR), and Wu Dawei (CHN). For Executive Committee member, the nominees are Adamfi Atila (HUN), Entaltsev Mikhail (GER), Gilomen Chanel (SUI), Knutson Andrew (USA), Parviainen Antti (FIN), Pedersen Stein (NOR), Vatutin Aleksandr (RUS), and Wu Dawei (CHN).
As a historic step, the EC will include, for the first time, representatives of both genders and Athletes, demonstrating FIB’s commitment to gender balance and athlete representation at the highest level of the organization. The new EC will be complemented by the Athletes’ Committee President, elected by the Athletes’ Committee members.
