USA closed its campaign at the FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup 2025 with titles in both the men’s and women’s competitions in León, Mexico, after winning the finals held on November 30. The men’s team repeated last year’s matchup against Puerto Rico and secured gold with a 21-15 result, earning back-to-back titles and four trophies across the five editions of the event.

In the women’s final, the American squad faced Canada in a game decided in the closing seconds. The contest reached a 19-19 tie before a foul on Allisha Gray sent her to the free-throw line. With two accurate shots, USA sealed a 21-19 victory and claimed its third continental crown.

Double bronze for Brazil

Brazil earned double bronze in León after defeating Canada 21-16 in the men’s bracket and the Dominican Republic 21-14 in the women’s. The Brazilian teams secured podium finishes in both categories during a highly competitive edition for the region’s leading national federations.

Individually, Cameron Forte led the American men’s effort throughout the tournament. The debutant scored 34 points overall, including 8 in the final against Puerto Rico, earning MVP honors and a place in the Team of the Tournament alongside Antonio Ralat, from Puerto Rico, and Leonardo Branquinho, from Brazil.

In the women’s field, Allisha Gray was named MVP after scoring 9 points in the final against Canada and converting the decisive free throws. The Team of the Tournament also included Katherine Plouffe, from Canada, and Gabriela Guimarães, from Brazil, who led their teams on their way to the podium.

Canada and Dominican Republic just short

The men’s final standings saw USA finish first, followed by Puerto Rico and Brazil. Canada placed fourth, with Chile, Mexico, Argentina and the Dominican Republic rounding out the top eight. In the women’s competition, USA topped the table ahead of Canada and Brazil, while the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Argentina completed the next positions.

Earlier stages of the tournament featured notable performances in both the Qualifying Draw and pool play. Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela advanced as leaders from the QD, while USA and Paraguay ended Day 2 undefeated. Brazil and Canada excelled on Day 3 before the knockout rounds shaped the path to a final in which USA completed a double title to close the continental event in León.
