The Federation of International Bandy (FIB) has announced the launch of its new and improved website, worldbandy.com, designed to better serve athletes, teams, officials, fans and other members of the global bandy community. The revamp reflects the organisation’s commitment to transparency, open communication and modernisation of its digital infrastructure.
Positioned as a bandy resource centre, the platform incorporates advanced features that enhance the user experience and reinforce the values of inclusivity and excellence promoted by the FIB.
TOOLS FOR TRANSPARENCY
In line with its commitment to good governance, the new FIB website includes a dedicated section for key governance documents, meeting minutes, financial reports and organisational updates. Everything from committee details to the work of partners will be available to the public. “Visibility and openness are key words for us,” stressed a spokesperson for the organisation.
Moreover, modernisation is not limited to transparency. The FIB has introduced a completely new multimedia platform called FIB TV, which includes a video archive where recordings of past tournaments can be found and a live platform to broadcast the Bandy World Championships and club World Cups.
HISTORY ARCHIVE FOR BANDY
Another significant addition is the Tournament History section, launched last summer, which compiles text and images on the history of bandy and the FIB since the first World Championship in 1957. This archive is constantly being updated to include new material, offering fans a rich historical perspective on the sport.
FIB Secretary General Attila Adamfi highlighted the relevance of this project: “We are excited to introduce a digital platform that aligns with the Federation’s values of inclusivity, transparency and excellence. This website is not just an aesthetic change, it is a step forward to connect with our stakeholders and grow the bandy globally”.
MODERNISATION UNTIL 2034
The new website is part of a broader strategy that FIB is developing to modernise the organisation in the run up to 2034. This vision includes developing new technological resources, strengthening communication with fans and driving projects that increase the visibility and accessibility of bandy around the world.
With this initiative, the Federation of International Bandy not only seeks to facilitate interaction with its communities, but also to set a standard of modernity and professionalism that will inspire other sporting organisations.
