The South American Basketball League will feature 10 teams from countries such as Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, and Paraguay. In this new edition of the tournament, the absence of teams from Brazil and Colombia stands out. In the previous edition, Colombia managed to qualify two teams to the Final Four, with one runner-up and one fourth place finish, while Brazil is historically one of the most successful countries in the competition.
Brazil has had a remarkable trajectory in South American basketball, being the second country with the most international titles. Among its most decorated teams are Brasilia, with 3 titles, Vasco da Gama, with 2, and others like Uberlândia, Flamengo, Mogi das Cruzes, Franca, and Botafogo, each with one title.
