Ahead of the opening of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and these are some of the interesting details about the Paralympic Village. Athletes from all over the world are arriving to prepare for the biggest moment of their lives.

100% ACCESSIBLE

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Village is accessible and meets the needs of all Paralympic athletes. There are no steps, spacious bathrooms and the shower has a chair, even the sockets are located 45 centimetres above the floor for easy access. Ludivine Munos, Head of Paralympic Integration at Paris 2024, says the Paris 2024 Paralympic Village has addressed everything she found uncomfortable when she was in the Village as an athlete.

In the Main Dining Hall, the buffet counters are set at a height that makes it easier for athletes in wheelchairs to access food. The trays used by athletes to carry food are made of non-slip material. There are also trolleys so that people can easily move their trays.

CUISINE FROM AROUND THE WORLD

The Village canteen prepares 25,000 meals a day for the athletes and staff staying there. There are options for all tastes: Asian, Italian, French. The bakery outside the main dining hall offers French pastries (croissants, baguettes and pain au chocolate) prepared and baked in the village.

GETTING READY FOR THE GAMES

Ottobock has an equipment repair centre for athletes. The German-based company expects to provide 2,000 repairs during the Games.

MAKING FRIENDS

Athletes can meet other athletes from around the world in the Paralympic Village, chat, relax or even exchange badges. Facing the Seine, the Village Club is a sunny terrace where athletes can listen to music, have a drink and socialise.
