The decision to include the flag football in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games has excited young players of this sport in the United States. Lane Tech College Prep’s Sadia Rodriguez said to Olympics web, “Knowing that I could play at the college level and now having the opportunity to go for the Olympics is incredible.”

For her part, Emma Anderlik, from Willowbrook High School, said that “when I found out that flag football was going to be in the Olympics, it was surreal. I know I have to work harder to get there one day.”

Coach Silva was also enthusiastic, noting that “only these four teams represent a small part of the total number of girls who are now being impacted” by this announcement. The inclusion of flag football in the Olympic Games opens up new opportunities and dreams for young female players.
